What is Audible Silhouettes?

Mission of Audible Silhouettes:

What does the title “Audible Silhouettes” represent?

What kind of projects does Audible Silhouettes plan on working on?

Is Audible Silhouettes a 501c3?

A non-profit production corporation founded by Eric Cajuste with hopes to help serve as a bridge between various Haitian church communities.

AS’s mission is to create engaging, entertaining and inclusive experiences for members of Haitian Christian church communities in the Greater New York City area by way of, but not limited to, plays and films as well as other collaboration-inducing events. There will be a primary emphasis to engage the first-generation demo of these churches but will also be open to all, including people who don’t attend a Haitian church. Experiences led by this nonprofit aim to break down barriers between churches and to encourage unity in faith despite denominational differences. If done correctly, AS events can reach across the invisible borders that keep members separate and promote collaboration, while focusing on the aspects of our faith that we have in common.

The title comes from the 2-step process used to put together the first film project. The first step required producing the “audible” aspects of the film including the voices of actors/actresses, the sound editing, and the sound score. The second step required producing the visual aspects of the film which includes the physical actors acting out the dialogue recorded in the first step. Rather than using normal camera footage, only the actors’ silhouettes are used for the film.

AS will focus primarily on creating entertainment experiences. The first type of entertainment that will be explored is film. All projects will have some spiritual/Christian and Haitian foundation since this will largely cater to the Haitian Christian demographic. In the future, other types of events will be considered.

Audible Silhouettes is a religious public charity in the process of applying for 501(c)(3) status.
